Curriculum Vitae

Gabriele Ferretti is a Philosopher of Perception. He received his PhD (2016) in Philosophy of Mind from the Centre for Philosophical Psychology at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, where he was a member of the research group ‘Between Perception and Action’ led by Bence Nanay. He also received his PhD (2016) in Complexity Science from the Department of Pure and Applied Sciences of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo in Italy. (This was a joint doctoral program awarding a separate diploma within each of the partner institutions.) Before joining eikones, Gabriele was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Florence in Italy, working on the project ‘The Contents of Vision in Action.’ This research was a logical continuation of the one carried out during his previous Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Department of Pure and Applied Science of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo in Italy, within the Philosophy of Science Group, with a grant from the Franco and Marilisa Caligara Foundation on his project ‘Visual Perception in Action.
