The Areopagite through the Ages: Diagramming the Ps.-Dionysius, c. 600–c. 1600
In this lecture, Jeffrey Hamburger, Kuno Francke Professor of German Art and Culture at Harvard University, talks about diagrams as spaces of knowledge. The diagram is neither a symbol nor an index; rather, it is an icon – but of a particular type. Diagrams root resemblance in a set of structural relationships shared with that which they represent.
